Have you been dreaming of the perfect fairytale wedding? If you’re anything like me, I spent my childhood imagining a princess wedding, complete with horse and cart and an extravagant castle.
Last year, this dream came true as I coordinated the picture-perfect wedding shoot at Thornbury Castle. A place truly fit for a princess, or rather a Queen as was the case for Anne Boleyn on her honeymoon with King Henry VIII, I worked with a team of professionals to have our brides looking worthy of royalty.
For this shoot we focused on the theme of a fairytale English wedding so I wanted the hair and makeup to be feminine, classy and elegant with a hint of extravagance. I used soft palettes of creams and pinks which I then also carried into the choice of flowers in the backdrop. For hair, I chose soft ringlets combined with jewel-encrusted headbands.
Like any wedding look, this shoot was all about balance; we provided a hint of glamour whilst ensuring everything exuded sophistication.
To learn more about the shoot you can head to the feature in Our Bristol & Somerset Wedding, for which we made the front cover!
Thanks to the wonderful team that helped me make this dream a reality.
